Sissy Nika is a communications expert as well as a journalist specializing in gastronomy, tourism and cultural matters.

After her studies in French Literature, she got a specialization in the field of Communications.

She has worked as α Public Relations manager for the Lafarge Multi-national corporation for 15 years.

Later on, she changed fields of interest, by becoming an expert on tourism and gastronomy.

Under 15 years she had been employed as a Communications and International Relations Manager by the “Luxury Hotel Saint George Lycabettus” in Athens, as well as the following Hotels: “Pendelikon”, “Park Radisson Blue”, Hotel “Naxos Palace” in Naxos and Hotel “Vrahos” in Folegandros island.

Until December 2016, she was a Communication and International Relations Manager for a culinary and touristic Vocational Training institute.

She is currently engaged as a counselor for hotels and food producing companies, as well as an organizer of Food Festivals, in coordination with foreign Embassies and other organizations. She has participated in touristic and gastronomy seminars, as  well as in some international conventions with the same topic.

She has collaborated with several Greek Newspapers and periodicals such as “Ethnos”, “Eikones”, “Harmonia”, “Loipon”, and “Eleftheros Typos”, as a journalist.

Since 2009, she is a collaborator of the newspaper Realnews as well as the culinary and tourist oriented magazines owned by the above corporation such as “Taste and Style”,“Escape”, Kids” and “Woman΄s look”.

In February 2017 she created the site under the name of “Tastedriver.com” edited in both Greek and English with an option to include even a French language version.

Her articles are included in the daily site Emvolos.gr (alexa 970).

She has participated in the radio program called “Drive and Travel”, broadcasted by Sport FM Radio on Saturdays, on matters pertaining to gastronomy and tourism.

Since May 2017 she participates in the radio program under the same name, at Sport 24 Radio.

As a guest, she has taken part in several TV shows on culinary matters.

She is the author of the following successful books edited by Realnews:

”A culinary map of Evia and Skyros”, a Chamber of Evia publication, August 2017.

Imminent edition of two more books on the same subject, in collaboration with some European and American Culinary organizations and Tourist Educational Institutions.

She organizes photo exhibitions in various Institutions, Museums or Hotels, based solely on humanitarian principles and dedicated to the well-being of children.

The activity described above is carried out as a promise made to her late daughter, who unfortunately left this world while still being very young.
