The European congress of gastronomy took place at Zappeion last weekend (19-21th Oct). It was about “The Europe of tastes – Greece: Tourism – Wine – Gastronomy”. The Regional and the Municipal Authorities made a major exhibition on the interconnection of primary and secondary agricultural production with the final consumer.
Evia was among them, and the Administration department and the President of the Chamber, Mrs. Voula Agiostratiti represented it. They proudly presented to the Secretary General of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food Mr Antonoglou, the President of the Greek National Tourism Organization Mr. Karimali and the Director of the Ministry of Tourism, “A Culinary Map of Evia & Skyros”. A special book created by the Chamber of Evia in collaboration with Mrs. Sissy Nika. The book is an important guide for the gastronomy and tourism of Evia, as well.
