Ingredients

600 gr minced beef meat calf, passed once through the machine
1 large dried white grated onions
1 tsp red peppers melted in blender
1 clove of melted garlic
1/2 tbsp οregano
3 tbsp chopped fresh mint
5 tbsp oat flakes
1 pinch cumin powder
3 tbsp olive oil
salt

Dichori is my favorite destination, if you miss me you know where you will find me… hidden in Vardoussia, where the mountain peaks play with the clouds and the sun plays an endless hide and seek…. Light snapshots beautifully binding with the wildlife in the forest, foxes, wild boars, roe deer arriving in the square in front of Marina’s restaurant for dinner … even they know that Marina is there all year long, winter and summer … The truth is that in Dichori you feel like a different person, you relax and fill your batteries.

The galaktoboureko is amazing and the chocolates are wonderful…

The tea with honey is so aromatic….

Every time I go to Dichori, I’m always incognito… like so many others, I have a great time. The sounds of nature, the flavors and the company of Marina soothe me… the laughter and teasing and the endless culinary tasting, make me relax.

In my last getaway… I tried the aromatic meatballs that we kneaded with oat flakes instead of bread and baked in the oven… to be healthy and dietary. Instead of tomatoes we put some red Florin pepper.

After the Greek coffee and sweets we felt guilty and took a walk in the waterfalls so as to get rid of the calorie flood …

In a large bowl, we put all the ingredients for the meatballs.

Knead hard and turn the minced meat to get air. It takes 5-6 minutes for the kneading to homogenize the mixture. However, oat flakes do not stand out in the minced meat.

We cover the bowl with a transparent film and refrigerate for one night. We remove from the fridge and mold the meatballs into the shape and size we want.

On a baking tray, we put grease-proof paper and we place the meatballs.

We sprinkle them with ouzo for more deliciousness.

Bake in a well preheated oven at 200 ° C for 25 minutes and we turn them with tongs to bake on both sides.

Serve with a rich salad or french fries or even mashed potatoes…
