Ingredients

500 gr. penne boiled
200 ml chicken broth or vegetable broth
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 onion chopped
1 garlic clove chopped
150 gr. mushrooms fresh or canned, in thin slices
Thyme grated
12 slices of smoked bacon cut into pieces
200 gr. sour cream light
freshly ground peppers
1 tbsp. basil leaves chopped
200 gr. gruyere of Naxos PDO or Cretan, grated
200 gr. kaseri cheese PDO, grated

Baked penne with cheese, bacon and mushrooms

The taste that young and old love

Delicious, aromatic and rich in flavors and aromas are the penne, which when they come out of the oven flood the house with tickling aromas.

If you want to replace the cream you can also use tomato juice, the result will be just as delicious.

Another option is to use between the penne instead of cream, a creamy cheese and the taste will be even better.

If you want you can add a smaller amount of bacon and use ham or smoked turkey or sausages, cut into thin slices.

To have even more beautiful colors and taste you can replace the penne with tricolor pennep with spinach, tomato or pepper.

Next to the penne you can serve a rich salad of white and red cabbage, olive oil and a little vinegar.

In a large saucepan with 2 liters of chicken broth, we boil the penne, depending on the indication on the package and 2 minutes less.
