Ingredients

900 g flour that swells on its own as long as it takes
500 g butter at room temperature
4 tbsp corn oil
4 Egg yolks
6 tbsp sugar
4 tbsp Sea salt
4 tbsp anise
2 Egg whites
100 g Parmesan grated

Crispy delicacies that accompany your drink and you can create your own baton chalets. In addition to cheese, we can use sesame, black sesame, sun-dried tomatoes, oregano and coarse salt or paprika.

Instead of grated parmesan in the garnish, you can put grated kefalotyri cheese.

If we want them to stay crispy, we leave them to cool without covering them, when we take them out of the oven.

We put the butter, the yolks, the sugar, the cheese, the corn oil, the anise and the salt in the bowl of the mixer.

We beat on medium speed with the hook until the mixture is homogeneous.

We slowly add the flour and mix. The dough must remain oily and pliable.

We shape the dough into strings and cut into pieces. In a pan, we spread baking paper and place the sticks. We spread them with the egg white and sprinkle with the grated cheese.

We bake in a preheated oven at 180° C for 30 minutes until golden brown. We remove them from the oven and leave them to cool without covering them to keep them crisp.
