Narration
They are made very easily and accompany beer and ouzo. They go great with sausages and with a green salad they are a complete meal.
We can each make our own cheese mix. We can replace ouzo with wine, the assyrtiko goes very well with them as does the moschofilero.
If you do not like mint you can put nutmeg. In Chalkida I tried the best cheese croquettes “handmade” by Antonia

We put the cheeses, eggs, mint, peppers and ouzo in a bowl. |

We mix well and we add a little flour until a dough that we can easily shape is formed. |

We put the sifted flour in a bowl and we roll the cheese croquettes on it. |

We put enough olive oil in a deep pan and we fry the cheese croquettes. |

We let them brown on one side and we turn on the other. |

We spread absorbent paper on a plate and we place the cheese croquettes to remove the olive oil. |
