2 cups walnuts
2 breadcrumbs
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 kg filo for crust
1 cup melted butter
For the syrup
2 cups granulated sugar
1 1/2 cup water
1 tbsp Lemon Juice

They say that every bite is unique. For sure they will delight you. The filo, crispy and the filling «sends» you on a voyage of taste.

Preheat the oven at 200 °C.

To make the syrup, heat the pan on the stove and add the sugar, water and lemon juice.

Stir until the sugar dissolves and the syrup thickens.

In a bowl, mix the almonds, the rusks and the sugar and add to this syrup we made.

Cut the filo sheets in width in 3 oblong strips.

Butter lightly each strip and fold it in half.

Butter again.

Put on one side a spoonful of filling, and first fold the two long sides over the filling.

Butter again and wrap in a roll.

Put the flutes in a buttered baking dish and brush with the remaining melted butter.

Bake in a well preheated oven at 180 °C for 35 minutes until well browned.
