2 egg
1 dry onion medium, chopped
4 garlic cloves, mushed
1/2 cup Parsley chopped
1 cup Graviera cheese from Naxos
1/4 cup spearmint chopped
flour
Sea salt
Freshly grated peppers

A magnificent taste at Naxos of Cyclades…

Naxos is a beautiful island and a gastronomic kingdom.

Culture, charming landscapes on the mountains  and at the sea, an outstanding -from every view- island of the Aegean, Naxos gives us unique PDO products such as gruyere cheese and potatoes, citrus, tasty meat and seafood cooked in a traditional way.

Naxos is famous for its authentic flavors, born from the earth and the sea. Mythology suggests Dionysus, the god of wine and the feast, to be born there and, as the patron of Naxos, he planted the first vineyard in the island. Potatoes, watermelons, herbs, wild greens, mushrooms, wine, olive oil, honey, cheeses and fruits are all exquisite. But the colours and the alternating sounds make the island stand out from the rest of the Cyclades.

We clean the potatoes and boil them in a pot with cold water.

Boil the potatoes for 45 min.

When they are ready, we drain them and put the potatoes in the blender.

We saute the onions and garlic in a little olive oil.

We add all the rest of the ingredients and homogenize the mixture.

We let it cool down for a while.

We shape the potato meatballs and cover them with flour.

We fry in hot olive oil and turn them on both sides so they can have a nice color.
