The sweet secret of my hotelier friend Chrysoula Papalexi, sweet orange that she serves on her heavenly breakfasts. A dessert that is made every season of the year.
Its color is so vivid and your mouth overflows with aromas in every bite. The truth is that spoon sweets “are not my thing” because they are very sweet for me due to the intolerance I have to glucose but this sweet of Chrysoula is something else…
We made it together and I saw that it is very easy and ideal to accompany my afternoon coffee especially when I enjoy it in the flowered courtyard of the Ganimede Hotel.

We wash the oranges well and grate them with the grater to remove the external bitterness. |

We cut them into 6-8 slices each, like quinces. |

We remove the seed and the inner membranes. |

WE PREPARE THE SYRUPWe put the sugar in a pot with water and, while stirring, let it boil for 15 minutes. |

We boil the oranges for 15 minutes, so that the skin tightens. We shake the pot once or twice. |
