Rice pudding with sweet orange

Ingredients

100 gr Carolina rice
600 ml Milk
1 or in powder vanilla
30-60 gr sugar
2 tbsp of preserved orange sweet or bergamot
FOR THE FINISH
cinnamon in powder or chocolate chips
orange zest

An easy aromatic, tasty creation with milk, rice, cinnamon and sweet orange of the season.

It’s the dessert that you can mix up in “fanciful” ways…

Rice pudding is eaten pleasantly lukewarm or even cold. It can be made in many ways by replacing milk with coconut milk or chocolate milk or even by making our own blends. We can use fruits, preserved sweets, nuts, liqueur and so much more.

Put the rice in a pot with a thick base and pour the milk and 1 vanilla.

Heat the milk stirring continuously until it starts to boil. Lower the heat and cover the pot letting it simmer for 40 minutes, stirring frequently until a thick creamy mixture is made.

Remove the vanilla and pour the sugar while stirring, let it a little to cool down and add the sweet orange pieces at the end.

Put the rice pudding in the fridge for 2 hours and sprinkle with cinnamon or chocolate chips before serving.
