Ingredients

500 gr. thick spaghetti for pastitsio
3 tbsp. fine olive oil
1 dried onion cut into thin slices
1 garlic clove mashed
3 rustic sausages sliced
1 glass of red wine agiorgitiko
800 gr. tomatoes Chopped
1 sprig of Fresh thyme
1 sprig of Fresh oregano
salt
Freshly ground pepper
250 gr. Feta cheese crumbled with a fork

Traditional spaghetti with sausages

 Rich mountain taste

A hearty spaghetti, with thick pasta noodle that I really like and rustic sausage with oregano or leek. The tomatoes are at their best and their taste is special. Feta cheese goes well with tomato sauce and pepper.


If we want we can add to the pasta  vegetables and various baked goods, such as sliced ​​zucchini and pieces of eggplant or pepper of all colors.

If you do not like feta cheese you can sprinkle the pasta with your favorite cheese blend, such as kefalograviera, gruyere or pecorino.

In a large saucepan, we heat the olive oil and sauté the onion and garlic for a while until they wither, but lightly without taking on color.

We add the sausage and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
