Village Roumeliotiko bread

Very easy with authentic rustic taste

In Vardousia, Asimina is a famous cook. The Cafe of the Village is open in winter and summer so that the passers-by can rest and the locals can find shelter. Her bread, her pies, her roasts are famous all over the region.

Diakopi, built of stone, drowned in hydrangeas and flowers of all kinds. With its small rivers, its springs with gurgling water and incredible views of the whole lake of Mornos, it is one of the five famous villages of Vardousia famous for its herbs, honey and cheese.

χωριάτικο ψωμί

Asimina was waiting for me and had made an amazing egg pie, bread from the wood oven, lamb stew and a real yogurt with sweet black cherry. All from her little hands.
